With more than 30 years across accounting, tax, firm operations, and technology, including leadership experience as a partner and CIO, she helps accounting firms make critical workflows clearer, more dependable, and easier to run as the firm grows.

What Debbie believes

People in accounting firms do their best work when the workflow around them is clear, dependable, and aligned with how the firm actually operates. When that layer weakens, the work starts disappearing into follow-up, rework, exceptions, and unnecessary friction.
Debbie’s work is about strengthening that layer. She helps firms make important workflows easier to trust, easier to adopt, and easier to manage, so the people responsible for the work can spend less energy compensating for the process and more energy moving it forward.

Background

Debbie is Co-Founder of Encapsulated and brings a rare combination of accounting, tax, firm leadership, and technology experience to the work. She spent more than twenty-five years as CIO of a national accounting firm and also served as a partner, building on an earlier foundation in accounting and taxation.
She has worked extensively across the accounting-firm software landscape and has seen firsthand where vendor tools help, where they fall short, and why important workflows so often break down between systems rather than inside a single application.
Her work sits at the point where workflow, ownership, usability, and adoption have to line up cleanly. She helps firms bring structure to onboarding, tax operations, reporting, document flow, approvals, and other internal processes so the work becomes easier to trust and easier to run.
That includes clarifying next actions, reducing avoidable rework, and helping leadership make operational change hold after go-live.
